NASA Deep Space Exploration & the Utilization of Autonomous Systems

NASA plans to utilize autonomous vehicles and systems as a precursor to human deep space exploration missions. The goal is to extend our deep space capabilities and protect the well being of NASA astronauts. These autonomous robotic system would travel ahead to distant plants and begin to establish a working environment for human. This would include communications, shelter, and all life support equipment necessary to support human life in preparation for humans to arrive.
