David Brothers is a Research and Science Communicator with the International Institute of Astronautical Sciences (IIAS) . David is also a FAA Certified Pilot, Speaker, Entrepreneur, Co-Author, and Citizen-Scientist Astronaut Candidate with Project PoSSUM: Polar Suborbital Science in the Upper Mesosphere. David is a 13-year Army veteran of the Special Operations Community with tours of duty throughout the world. David’s primary mission is to empower people to become their best selves through education, learning, and positive experiences.
David Brothers holds a Masters Degree in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and a Masters Degree in Business Administration in Aviation. David is currently pursuing his Doctorate Degree in Aviation at the Florida Institute of Technology and has written extensively on extravehicular activity Propulsion and mobility. He is a co-author of “The Handbook of Life Support Systems for Spacecraft and Extraterrestrial Habitats”, Springer Publishing. David specializes in speaking on Citizen Science, Aviation, Leadership, Motivation, Business Organizational Culture.
David is an avid snowboarder, advanced open water scuba diver, and Tae Kwon Do marital artist. As a pilot, David enjoys flying across the country to different events and meeting new people.
